India batsman Virat Kohli has broken another record of Australian cricketer Sir Bradman by making a double century in the Test match against South Africa.
In the second match of the three-match Test series between South Africa and India in the Indian city of Pune, Kohli broke the record of 996 6 runs made in the Test matches of Sir Don Bradman on Friday.
Although Kohli played 138 innings to break Sir Don Bradman’s record, Sir Don Bradman made the record for an average of 99.94 runs in just 80 innings.
Virat Kohli, 30, also broke Sir Don Bradman’s record of scoring 150 for eight times, scoring more than 150 for the ninth time.
According to news agencies, Kohli has scored more than 7,000 runs in an average of 53 runs in Test matches. He played his first Test match in 2011 against the West Indies.
Kohli has joined the list of 50 batsmen in the world with 7,000 runs. The highest scorer in this list is Sachin Tendulkar of India, who has scored 15,921 runs in 200 matches.
It should be noted that Tendulkar retired from international cricket in 2013.
Kohli has also become the highest double-century batsman from India.
Kohli has also broken the record of six double centuries in Test cricket by Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. The two batsmen made six, six double centuries in Test matches.
Sir Don Bradman has the record of making the most double centuries in Test cricket history. They have done this feat 12 times. After that, Kumar Sangakkara performed it 11 times and Brian Lara nine times.
Kohli scored his seventh double century in the 81st Test of his career. He played the biggest innings of his career in this match and also scored an unbelievable 254 with 33 fours and two sixes for 336 balls.
